The Role

Join one of Australia's premier teaching hospitals as a Registrar, Senior Registrar, or Senior Medical Practitioner in the Department of General and Acute Medicine.
You'll be part of a dynamic and supportive medical team delivering high-quality care in a modern tertiary hospital, while developing advanced clinical and leadership skills across acute general medicine.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior clinical input for deteriorating patients and participate in MET / rapid response calls.

• Offer leadership and support to junior medical officers (interns, RMOs, registrars).

• Deliver bedside teaching, case-based learning, and supervision in clinical decision-making.

• Contribute to safe patient flow, admissions, discharges, and transfers.

• Collaborate effectively across disciplines to ensure quality patient care.

About You

You are an experienced clinician with strong acute hospital experience and a commitment to patient safety and medical education.

Essential:

• MBBS or equivalent, eligible for AHPRA registration.

• Minimum 3 years' experience in acute general medicine or comparable tertiary hospital practice.

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.

• Proficiency in managing complex, acutely unwell patients.

Desirable:

• Experience participating in MET teams, critical care, or internal medicine rotations.

• Advanced trainee or equivalent senior registrar experience in general medicine.

Remuneration & Benefits

• Total Package: AUD $106,000 - $257,000 (depending on level and experience).
