Full Time Consultant Psychiatrist

Are you passionate about mental health care for older adults? We are seeking dedicated Consultant Psychiatrists to join the team, this is a unique opportunity to lead a community-focused team that provides specialised care to adults over 65 with mental health, psychological, and neurodegenerative disorders.

• Leadership: Provide expert leadership and support to a multidisciplinary team, including doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners, and other health workers.
• Clinical Care: Manage outpatient clinics and outreach services, offering assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to older adults in various settings, including home and residential care.
• Education & Training: Deliver orientation, supervision, and education to staff, ensuring the highest standards of care and professional development.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Service Co-Director and other consultants to meet national, state, and SMHS performance standards.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Successful candidates will be required to meet the following criteria:

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZAP)
• Registered medical practitioner with specialist AHPRA registration
• Australian Working Rights
