Consultant Psychiatrist

THE POSITION

Consultant Psychiatrist to work across various specialties including Youth, Adult and Older Aduly services in community, Eating Disorder, Hospital- in-the-home and inpatient Mental Helath Services. These positions are within the East Metropolitan Health Service Mental Health Division. The role includes:

• Promoting patient safety and quality of care
• Providing leadership, orientation, training, supervision, and education for doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners, and other health workers
• Collaborating with Medical Co-Directors, Service Directors, Heads of Department, Clinical Leads, and other Consultants to achieve performance standards and targets.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Successful candidates will be required to meet the following criteria:

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZAP)
• Registered medical practitioner with specialist AHPRA registration
• Australian Working Rights
