Position Details

As a Career Medical Officer in Psychiatry, you will:

  • Deliver safe, high-quality psychiatric care across inpatient and community mental health settings.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and implement treatment plans.
  • Ensure effective communication with patients, families, and external healthcare providers.
  • Participate in treatment planning, patient reviews, and clinical documentation in compliance with best practices.
  • Contribute to teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and medical students.

Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent with registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in psychiatry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in complex multidisciplinary environments.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rosters as required.
